Online Casino News Roundup: November

Newspapers November 2013 is a big month for the online gambling industry with regulated igaming going online in New Jersey and Delaware. Elsewhere, gaming figures are finding new and innovative ways to meet up with law enforcement, and Shel Adelson revealed his less-than-snuggly feeling about Iran.

Satoshi Live – Satoshi Live is bringing popular live betting features to the frontier of Biotcoin gambling. The site is also offering beefed up online security for crypto-currency gamblers.

WSOP.com Launch – Nevada’s second legal online poker site got off to a rough start when players reported big trouble making deposits. That’s hardly the kind of headlines the Nevada casino industry was looking for when they launched regulated igaming.

Is Poker a Good Career Choice? – Thinking of skipping out on college to chase your dream of playing poker professionally? We won’t stop you, but you might want to read this article before signing a lease in Las Vegas.

Delaware iGaming Launch – Delaware’s legal online gambling, which include full casino suites, launched with relatively little fanfare. Given the state’s miniscule population, interstate gambling is definitely part of their plan.

Cantor Gaming Boss Under Investigation – Cantor Gaming top dog Lee Amaitis is under investigation for taking illegal sports bets. Nevada regulators are investigating, too and things don’t look so hot for Cantor.

Bodog Asia Crime Spree – Not to be outdone by Cantor, a trio of Bodog Asia employees are under investigation for a crime spree that’s right out of a Quentin Tarantino movie and included everything from auto theft to document forging.

Betsson International Expansion – Betsson has long had lock on the Nordic market and are now looking to expand deeper into Europe and are even taking a crack at China.

Full Tilt Claims at Just 2% – Only about 2% of parties eligible for Full Tilt Poker payouts from the US Government had filed claims as of the first week of October. What the Feds will do with all that extra cash is anyone’s guess.

Shel Adelson Speaks – Shel Adelson is no friend of online gambling, and he’s not so crazy about Iran either. In a recent interview he suggested that the US drop an atomic bomb in the Iranian desert to curtail the country’s fledgling nuclear program. Uh, thanks Shel, we’ll take that under advisement…
